Referee Information

Referee Information 

Wednesday August 28th.
Time 6pm - 8pm @ Mi Amore Pizza - 1321 N H St Ste M, Lompoc, CA 93436
Covering law changes and rules of competition for our AYSO competitive games. Will go over the new Referee Scheduling System.
Please see the links posted on the right of this page for current changes to the Laws of the Game.

All new and returning referees need to go to AYSOU and complete the Safe Haven & Concussion courses. 

All those interested in becoming new referees, our AYSO Referee Beginners Companion Course is now posted in AYSOU. You can log in to your Blue Sombrero account and follow AYSOU tab from menu.
Once at the AYSOU website click on "In-Person Courses" -> "Referee Instructor Led Courses" -> "
Regional Referee Online Companion Course". Scroll down to the bottom and on the right you will see a search bar. Search for Lompoc and you should see only one class show up.

All those interested in upgrading their referee level, there will be a class coming up soon. We are looking for at least 5 regional referees to upgrade to intermediate.

During the season, teams in the 10U and up divisions will be required to meet minimum referee requirements in order to take part in post season events.
1.       Total number of referees.
a.       A team will be required to have 1 certified regional or higher referee assigned to their team.
i.      A certified referee is described as a referee that has completed the required courses for that year for their badge level and is recognized by the Regional Referee Administrator (RRA).
b.       A referee may only be assigned to 1 team and may not switch teams during that season.
c.   A referee can not give out points to other teams.
.       A team can have as many referees as they wish assigned to them.
2.       Total number of points.
a.       A team must earn enough referee points by the end of the season.
.      Referee points are earned by having your team referees partake in a 10U or higher match as a Referee or Assistant Referee in our region.
ii.      Points are earned in the following manner:
1.       2 Points are earned for being a Referee of a game.
2.       1 Point is earned for being an Assistant Referee of a game.
iii.      A team can only earn a max of 5 points per week.
iv.      Game weeks are determined by the season scheduling committee.
3.       This seasons points requirements.
a.       For the 2019 season the point requirement is 14

Referees will deliver game cards to the referee booth after each game. Coaches will no longer have access to the game cards once they are turned in game.
